EZ Mahjong is a tile-matching game that offers classic Mahjong play online. Yet, as the name states, it focuses on offering an easy, less stressful version of the game.
The player must still remove ivory-colored tiles with traditional imagery from a playfield in matching pairs. In this case, they play on a green baize tabletop with wood side rails. The tiles increase in number and type with each new level across the game's 36 levels of play and unique patterns. The player starts out with blue, green and red bamboo and birds and then eventually matches other types of tiles like characters and stones.
The game highlights selected tiles with a glowing green color. It provides a lightbulb hint tool that highlights a matching pair of tiles with a glowing yellow color.
EZ Mahjong rewards the player with standard points, bonus points and up to three stars per level. That said, the game makes it incredibly easy for the player to earn a lot of points and stars. When the player ends a level with only a small amount of elapsed time, they earn the highest possible bonus score. If they can't complete a final match because of a stacked identical pair of tiles, they can still move on to the next level. The game doesn't force them to replay the level. The only time the player might want to replay is if they failed to earn all three stars.
