Draw Rider is a casual drawing and racing game that requires the player to draw wheels for the vehicle that their avatar uses during races against other characters. They must draw the right size, shape and type of wheel or other object needed at the beginning of a race and make adjustments as the race progresses.
The player initially receives access to a motorcycle-like vehicle. The game displays an empty field to draw in below two racers. The player must draw a circle to give the vehicle wheels. Although a real-world motorcycle has only two vehicles, the game typically installs four wheels on pegs that jut out from the sides. Other vehicle body options include a wooden log, a wide scooter and a rainbow-colored fantasy rocking horse.
During a race, the player adjusts the wheels by drawing other wheels or objects as dictated by the game with white marks in the drawing field. For example, the game might prompt the player to draw a white line to install rotating stilts on the vehicle when it moves through a water trap. Other obstacles beyond water traps include inclined surfaces, gaps in the racecourse, and objects that block the path.
Draw Rider rewards the player with coins that they can use to unlock new vehicles. If they're willing to watch videos, the game unlocks bonus coins. Once the player has enough coins, they use a randomizer to help them select new vehicles.
