Color Blocks is a relaxing casual, tile-based logic-puzzle racing game that features elements similar to a domino run, which is a classic toppling of dominoes arranged in a pattern. When a player competes against a CPU or other players during the run, the game is referred to as a domino rally.
The game offers 187 levels of patterns designed with tile-style blocks atop stone platforms. The player receives one or more colored tiles. When one of their tiles touches a pattern tile, the color of the impacted tile changes to match the player's color. The player uses their tile or tiles to topple and convert as many pattern tiles as possible before their CPU or real-world opponent or opponents take over the pattern with their colored tiles.
During Solo play, the game inserts the colored tiles of one or more virtual opponents into a pattern. The player must place their available tile or tiles strategically to block the other player or players and transform the most nearby tiles. If they win a rally, they receive coins to add to their initial balance of 200 coins and up to three gold stars. If they earn up to 2,000 coins over time, they can unlock a real-world player Multiplayer mode.
Color Blocks rewards the player with extra placement tiles and new tile colors or skins for their tiles via lucky spin wheels and super prize treasure chests. It also allows the player to earn coins, skins, spins and keys for chests by watching advertisements.
