Butcher Warehouse is a business-simulation game that focuses on the management of a farmette, meat-processing area and butcher shop. A player, via a stickman avatar, must learn all aspects of running the business, including planting and harvesting crops, growing and slaughtering livestock, stocking the market with meat and related products, running the cash register and hiring workers. Their main goal is to grow a successful business.
The player starts the game by harvesting corn and carrying it to the display case in the market. Over time, they use leftover corn to grow chicks into chickens and feed the chickens enough corn to produce eggs. When the player earns enough money, they can hire a cashier. They can also set up a machine with a conveyor belt that plucks and slaughters live chickens and deposits the raw chickens in a bin for the stickman to collect and transport to an open cooler in the market.
The player performs all processing and stocking tasks by directing the stickman to walk on gray floor areas. They direct the stickman into white-framed areas that display money to grow the warehouse and market.
Butcher Warehouse prompts the player to upgrade the stickman's speed and carrying capacity with the money they earn from sales. They should wait until they've started growing cows and set up the beef processor and conveyor belt before they pay for this functionality.
