7 Words: 777 Word Puzzles is a word game that features crossword puzzle elements played across 777 levels. The player must discover a word that matches one of seven definitions on the screen. They only receive a few letters of the word as blue tiles with white letters below the definitions. The player must select the correct tiles and rearrange them to create a definition answer.
The player can start with the first puzzle or use a shuffle button on the home screen to prompt the game to randomly generate a puzzle. If they use the shuffle button, they might access any puzzle, including a puzzle in one of the 700 levels.
The game displays several empty spaces after each definition. These spaces match the number of letters on a tile. They serve as a hint for the player.
7 Words supplies the player with several other helpful tools. The player can use a descending order button (A to Z) to arrange the tiles alphabetically or a shuffle button to randomly arrange the tiles. The game also supplies the player with a matching tile for a definition when the player uses a hints buttons. The player can use the button up to three times, and then they must wait more than two minutes for another chance to receive additional hints.
The game supplies the player with an X button to undo the selection of any tile. This can help them try different definitions and tiles.
