Water Sorting Puzzle is a casual sorting game. The player must use their critical thinking skills and different strategies to sort layers of various colors of water into containers against a gradient pink-and-white background across Easy, Normal, Hard and Expert modes in dozens of levels per mode.
Although the game features animation, the artwork of the liquids and containers seems almost basic and cartoonish because of the light-colored background. That said, the contrast makes the game more unique and fun than the majority of similar water-sorting games that feature dark backgrounds.
As with those other games, the player simply moves colored water layers across containers. Additionally, they can only pour a color on top of a matching color. With the harder modes of play, the game increases the number of colors and bottles. When the player sorts every colored layer of water into separate containers, the game pops a bright burst of colorful string confetti across the screen.
Water Sorting Puzzle allows the player to perform tasks not usually permitted in these games. For example, the player can partially pour a layer of water into a container. The game also doesn't automatically perform the final layer transfer. Instead, the player must manually perform the task.
