Pokemon mega is an online game for the Nintendo 3DS, created by Nintendo and Game Freak. It is a mid-core Pokemon RPG that lets players go on missions to help each other by fighting rival trainers, exploring the world of Alola with their customized character, and doing battles in various locales. In each location, the player can interact with symbols known as "NPCs," who offer them special quests. The player can choose which NPCs they want to befriend and help. If a search is turned in to an NPC, they may reward the player with items and money.
The game is pretty fun, and I like a lot of the things it has to offer. But, there are also some things that I don't like, such as pixel-hunting quests and certain areas being boxed in. It makes specific searches challenging to complete if you have a small monitor or mouse with no scroll wheel.
How to play:
To start, the player must pick their character's gender and choose a starter Pokemon. The player can either select Rowlet, Litten, or Popplio. At this point, the player must introduce themselves to others in the game by sending a friend request and writing a description of their character. Before going on their first quest with their Pokemon partner, they will meet a man at the beginning of Hau'oli City known as "Nate." Nate will introduce them to the basic mechanics of battling and advise them on how to go about exploring Alola.
*Use your mouse to move.
You can also use your keyboard to move around.
"WASD" is up, "Shift" is left and right, and "Ctrl" is down.
The world map allows you to move freely in all directions. However, on specific missions, it will be boxed in by walls. These allow you only to move up, down, left or right. It can make some areas difficult to navigate with your keyboard if you have a small monitor or your mouse if it doesn't have a scroll wheel. These are called "pixel-hunting." Pixel-hunting quests are when the mission's objective is located off-screen, and the player has to search for it while looking around the screen.
*Left click on Pokemon to interact with them. The player can move and jump around the character in battle.
*Right-click on Pokemon to move your character around a plaz
When interacting with a Pokemon in a plaza, they will either damage the level of their Pokemon or heal them.
*Neutral button: Go to the main menu.
*Back button: Go back to the world map or a menu screen.
