Merge 2048: Gun Rush is a three-dimensional, obstacle-course racing game. It features paintball gun avatars, brick-breaking rewards and automatic and manual merging mechanics.
Obstacles marked with numbers contain guns. When the player directs their gun or guns to auto-fire at a specific target, the balls reduce the number and eventually reveal a floating gun. The player directs their existing weapon or weapons to intercept the new one to increase their firing capabilities. The game performs automatic merges of identical guns to create new types of guns. The player can lose one or more guns if they allow any gun to hit an obstacle.
The racetrack also features positive green and negative red booster gates. The player might direct their guns to speed through green gates that offer them double-shot and scattershot firing options, high-speed shooting or additional guns. That said, if they accidentally direct their weapons through a red gate, they might accidentally downgrade or lose a gun or experience a lower firing rate.
At the end of a track, Merge 2048: Gun Rush distributes the player's remaining weapons across empty merge squares in front of a battlefield and starts auto-firing at enemy troops. The player buys guns and manually combines identical guns to increase their firing power. When they win, they receive cash that they can multiply by watching ads. They use the cash to upgrade the speed and damage capabilities of their future weapons.
The game also offers the player several methods for earning cash, including lucky spin wheel chests and gift boxes. After one free opportunity by type, the player must watch ad videos to access the cash.
