Kiba & Kumba Jungle Run is an endless runner platformer with an African jungle theme. The player's goal is to help one of the main characters, Kiba or Kumba, run through 30 levels of jungle while bypassing or defeating enemies and traps. They must also earn as many points as possible by collecting floating bananas and stars. If the player allows their avatar to come into contact with an enemy or a trap, they must restart the entire run.
The game includes various obstacles, including spiders, birds, rats, empty pits, flat ground areas or pits lined with spearheads, and platforms embedded with spikes. The player protects their avatar by directing it to slow down, speed up, jump and roll to bypass threats. They can also use natural elements around the character to navigate away from a threat, such as ramps made of earth or tree trunks and platforms near the ground or floating in the sky.
The player can only interact directly with one or more enemies with temporary special powers. They can collect a coconut powerup that knocks enemies out of the way, a leaf powerup that helps the character fly away, and an invincibility shield powerup that provides unlimited protection and an option for the character to kick enemies. The game also allows the player to collect other helpful temporary tools, such as a magnet that automatically attracts all nearby stars to the character.
