Goods Sort, also known as Sorting Items by Shelves, is a sorting game with a match-3 store reorganization theme. As essentially a stock clerk, the player must reorganize popular grocery items across levels. Their only goals are to clear all the hanging frame-style wood shelf units and earn three gold stars per level.
The game displays products as multiple layers of three-item-width rows on each shelf. Common items include alien and monster dolls, bags of chips, cookies and other snacks; juice, soda and other beverages in bottles and cans; coffee cups with lids; flowers in pots; giant lollipops with ribbons; gift boxes; large cupcakes with icing and ice cream cones; stuffed animal toys; and whole fruits and vegetables.
Although some store-themed sorting games only allow like-with-like sorting, Goods Sort allows the player to reposition items into empty spaces no matter the type of items nearby. The player only loses if they accidentally allow all front row item spaces to fill up, which usually happens if they remove the front row on each shelf and non-matching items fill up the spaces from the back rows. The game makes play more difficult by increasing the number of shelves and items with each new level.
