Color Sort Mania is a sorting puzzle game with an outer space and planetary theme. Instead of sorting liquids in test tubes, the player must sort colored balls. The player doesn't attempt to earn points. They merely try to complete each level successfully.
The player receives two or more basic white-outlined test tubes against a space background. These vials contain a mix of colored balls. The player can only transfer one or more matching balls to an empty space above a ball of the same color. When they successfully sort all the balls of one specific color as a vertical stack within a vial, the game shoots a burst of confetti out the top.
Color Sort Mania offers helpful tools below the test tubes. When the player makes a ball transfer error that limits future transfer options, they can undo their last move. They can also make sorting easier by adding an extra test tube to the playfield. Lastly, they can skip a level entirely.
That said, the player eventually runs out of access to these tools. They can earn more access by watching an ad while playing a level. They earn more every time they complete a level and unlock the next level. If they're willing to watch an advertising video before claiming their winnings, they can collect even more access opportunities.
