Cut the Rope: Time Travel adds another dimension of adventure to the popular Cut the Rope physics-based logic-puzzle series. As with all previous games, Om Nom has once again found his way into an amazingly crazy situation that takes him far from the safety of his box. After finding a time machine, Om Nom accidentally turns it on and manages to get sucked back in time to different historic eras where he meets his ancestors. The player helps him complete 15 levels in each period and eat hard, striped, swirly candy while trying to return home.
Several versions of the game exist. In this version, the player can visit six out of the 12 potential time periods (Pirate Ship, The Renaissance, The Middle Ages, Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt and The Stone Age). They must collect enough stars to unlock new eras and feed both Om Nom and his ancestors. Of course, to perform these tasks, the player must cut ropes attached to candies.
Yet, Cut the Rope: Time Travel breaks more than time. The player can change how they cut the rope. They can set the method to click or tap instead of swipe in the Options area. Some time periods also have chains instead of ropes. Other exciting elements include bombs and a time freeze feature, in addition to air cushions, bubbles and other tools common to all games in the series.
