I was on the hunt for a new match-three game, and Jewels FRVR became my newest addiction. The graphics are beautiful and unique, with popping colors (and distinct shapes for the colorblind). It's the modern update to classics like Bejeweled Blitz and Gems that I've been looking for. It has all the special gems you'd expect, with some delightfully unexpected twists � creating a vertical four-in-a-row blasts a column vertically, horizontally for a horizontal four-in-a-row. Perhaps it's a bit more slow-paced than Bejeweled Blitz, say, but I take that to mean that it's less frantic and makes for great relaxation. This is a perfect game to use as a reward for yourself after a hard day of work!
I'm a mission-oriented person, and I adore the mission-oriented theme of this game. It's Internet mining, made glamorous. Case in point � making matches next to a piece of coal reveals a sparkling diamond! Who doesn't love a diamond in the rough? This game strikes a perfect balance between flashy and classy, and the levels quickly get challenging enough even for a strategy head like me. There aren't as many in-game ads as in many other games, and that of course is a big bonus.
If you've played your way through Gems, gotten tired of Candy Crush and Bejeweled Stars, and are sick of trying to beat your high score in Bejeweled Blitz, Jewels FRVR is the game for you. Its stunning graphics and smooth gameplay won't disappoint. Watch out � you might be playing all night!
