Skydom is a timed match-3 puzzle game set in different types of magical parks that run like a road through clouds in the sky. The player's primary goals are to win match-3 and similar games in various modes, earn as many coins as possible, and explore all the parks.
The player play as a new player or access their account. After they choose a profile picture, they can choose several options (i.e., Friends, Challenge, Adventure and Alchemist). With Friends, they can invite friends to play and give and receive gifts. With Challenge, they attempt to earn the highest score against challengers after they unlock 10 levels in a day. With Adventure, they attempt to earn the most coins by completing tasks and winning matches against other players across levels. With Alchemist, they pay an alchemist to brew powerful special items like boosters and additional lives.
Skydom requires that the player complete certain item-collection goals. They might need to perform this task as an achievement challenge or compete against others. They collect the items by aligning three or more of the same items or similar-colored items, as dictated at the start of a level or competition, in a column or a row, or four matching items in a square.
When the player aligns more than three items at a time in a line, they create special items that act like boosters. For example, they might align five items to create a candy ball dripping with rainbow icing that can help them remove all of the same type of item from a board. They might match an orange carrot with two orange candies to create a line and collect the carrot to complete a goal.�
