Wood Turning Simulator is a simulation game that focuses on hobby and professional woodcraft. It tasks a player with shaping pieces of wood into furniture and other objects. The game features two modes (Carving and Cutting) with different crafting processes.
In the Carving mode, the game removes bark from a chunk of wood and then provides it to the player on a rotating lathe machine. The player uses virtual chisels to carve the wood based on an outline of a finished object. They receive one free tool. To access additional chisels, they must watch advertisements. After they carefully finish a piece, they paint it following an onscreen guide. If they do well, they receive coins.
Wood Turning Simulator's Cutting mode doesn't require the player to carve or paint objects. Instead, they use a rotating saw on a tabletop to cut planks, dowels and other premade wood pieces into new shapes using a green guideline. They assemble the parts to match an onscreen outline of a specific type of furniture or other object, such as a shelving unit, a skateboard, a stool or a table. The game also offers them new saw blades, but they must watch ads to access the options.
