Screw Puzzle is a sorting game. It requires the player to modify or remove various types of hardware on grids. The player earns keys and coins for their efforts.
The game features three modes (Start Game, Jigsaw Mission and Jigsaw Puzzles). Start Game is merely a random play mode in which the player completes different tasks. For example, they might need to find a way to drop all metal plates attached to a grid. As with other screw-related sorting games, they might complete this task by moving screws or bolts to empty holes.
With Jigsaw Mission, the player must remove or reposition a screw or other piece of hardware to recreate an image in a picture-in-picture (PiP) window located in an upper-right area near the main grid. With Jigsaw Puzzles, the player receives pieces of hardware below a grid in a sets of three. They must recreate the PiP image by placing these pieces in precise locations on a grid.
With all the play modes, Screw Puzzle rewards the player with coins. If they're willing to view a video, they can increase their winnings by as much as ten times the base amount. They use their coins or view videos to access keys and tips. They can also skip an extremely difficult level entirely.
