Mahjong Connect: Gold is a connect tile-matching game from the Mahjong Connect series. During levels-style play, on a reddish-brown Chinese-themed backdrop, the player removes layers of overlapping white, yellow-bordered tiles to expose two dragons. They can only perform this task by pairing tiles with no more than three connection lines or two 90-degree angles apart along the edges and across gaps.
The tiles feature black, blue, green and red characters, bamboo, stones and other iconography typically associated with classic Chinese Mahjong. Additionally, each tile, also known as a card, has a number at the top-right corner for easier identification.
The game removes the tiles when the player selects matching ones that meet the connect requirement. If identical tile cards don't meet it, then the tiles turn red. The player also initially receives access to five free swaps and five free hints to make pairing both easier and faster.�
Mahjong Connect: Gold rewards the player with antique Chinese Qing-dynasty coins and additional swaps and hints. The player can increase the number of coins by viewing an advertisement. They can use their coins or ad views to access more coins, swaps and hints. They also receive these items as achievement gifts and daily spin wheel rewards.
