Dreamy Jewel is a match-3 puzzle game. The player must erase jewel blocks from checkerboards across levels. They perform this task by aligning three or more identical jewels at a time on a row or column. They can also use special jewel blocks to erase different types with one move. If they erase all of the assigned targets for a level, they receive coins they can use to update the color or pattern of the backdrop behind each board.
The player performs match-3 moves by swapping the positions of two jewels with one move next to two adjacent jewels that match one of the swapped ones. Unlike many similar games, they don't need to drag and slide the jewel blocks or select both in a swap. The game performs an auto-swap after the first move as long as they select one jewel that's capable of completing a match-3 alignment. They receive a limited number of moves per level.
Dreamy Jewel also offers boosters in the form of special jewel blocks that remove entire rows, columns and blast zones of jewels. It might drop these jewels onto the board at any time. It might prompt the player to watch an ad to receive special ones on a board at random. Additionally, the player can create special blocks by aligning four or more matching jewels. They can also create special block effects by merging two adjacent special blocks with one move.
Once the player clears five levels, they receive access to a lucky spin wheel that rewards them with additional coins. At the end of each level, they also receive bonuses and opportunities to increase their winnings.
