Pipe Puzzle is a logic-puzzle game. It requires a player to turn parts of a pipe hanging on a wall in different directions to form a single, whole pipe. The player's goal is to suction water through the pipe and out of a swimming area.
One or more people float while wearing a bathing suit or swim trunks at the bottom of a room made only of a two-tone colored frame suspended on the side of the wall. The moment the player begins to rearrange the positions of each piece of pipe, the water begins to fill the room. If the player turns the pipes in time, an automated system sucks the water up the whole pipe and out one side of the frame. An ice-style disco ball drops from the top of the screen with confetti, and the swimmers dance around on the water-free base of the frame.
If the player fails, one or more swimmers become stuck in the pipe or flow out the side, or the entire room fills with water, the water and swimmers burst up out of the top, and the game resets the level.
Pipe Puzzle requires the player to imagine the shape of the whole pipe and then rearrange the sections to match. The player must have an excellent imagination, fantastic hand-eye coordination, and a sense of timing to complete their task on time.
In some levels, the player must drag a piece of pipe from a special area to an empty section to complete the task. They might also not use every section of pipe.
