Imposter: Battle Royale is a multiplayer last-man-standing survival game based on the Imposter social deduction game. Both games are derived from Among Us.
The game features merge, exploration and scavenging elements. The player, via a hero avatar, is a crew member on board a spaceship. They must fight all other crew members to the death in Survival mode. An unlockable Brawler: Chaos Guns Game mode also exists.
The merge element of the game happens before the melee starts. The player combines matching weapons that they buy with coins on a shiny, cubicle-style shelving unit on the main screen to create a new, more powerful weapon. They receive coins and red gemstones as an income when they win the battle or lose in second place. The game also supplies them with bonus coins and gems via daily rewards and drone-delivered supply boxes. They can earn them by watching advertisements as well.
Imposter: Battle Royale gives the player gemstones to upgrade the hero avatar's appearance and weaponry. During a battle, the player uses objects on the ship, such as boxes and vents, to gain an advantage. They can also speed up their earnings with a multiplier on the main screen and enhance their avatar's strength in the tech center.
The game features several events, including Flags mode and Alien Crisis mode. With Flags, the player must collect the most flags. With Alien Crisis, they must gather energy after the spaceship loses too much and kill monsters.
