Longcat is a special three-dimensional Fancade arcade game in the drawing and maze logic-puzzle categories. It shares similarities with Just Slide, Link Number, Maze Paint, One Line Puzzle and Paint Sponges Puzzle. It also has some elements similar to snake games.
Across 50 levels with diverse landscapes, the player must direct the head of a yellow cat along paths between objects inside a maze-like, carved-out section of landscape. As the player moves the head, the cat's body appears and elongates along the path, like a drawing of a line or wide swath of paint.
The player can only move the head from one wall to another. They also can't cross it over any filled area that already displays part of the cat's body. As a result, they must find the one perfect path that allows them to stretch the cat across every open surface.
When the player wins, the game takes an instant snapshot of the final shape of the cat's body inside the maze. Multicolored confetti also floats down the screen.
Longcat doesn't lock levels. The player can access any level at any time. That said, the higher-numbered levels provide more challenging puzzles. The game confirms level selection by turning the white button that represents a level blue.
