Hexanaut io is a hex-based, competitive, multiplayer game. The game's goal is to be the last to survive by destroying opponents' bases while protecting your own. The game is 4-player, turn-based, and hosted on a central server.
The base (or "HQ") of the player with the least amount of hexes remaining is destroyed by default when the game ends. Players gain more hexes as they beat their opponents' bases and earn more points. Points spend to rebuild bases or to purchase beneficial items from a store that opens only at set intervals in the game.
This gameplay across multiple devices with players connected to one central server playing on individual boards for each player. Still, all can see what cards other players play regardless of which board they are playing on (unless someone blocks another player's view).
How to play:
Players have one minute to strategize and play their cards when a game begins. Players must quickly draw six hexanauts when the one-minute timer runs out. Each player may only play 1 card each turn. Cards are played by clicking on them and then using the arrow keys to move them around the board. Once you play a card, One cannot force it again until another player uses a card to move all of their hexes.
When a player is ready to play, they click the "Go" button, and the timer begins (if it is not already running). At that time, all players must quickly click on their "Go" button to start the timer. If they do not or take too long, the timer expires, and a random person starts playing instead. If this happens, there will be no further time limit for playing cards once another player has started playing.
The arrow keys move your hexanaut. Enter plays the hexanaut you have selected. The left button on your computer will move your chosen to the right. You can use the Shift key to move multiple hexanauts at once. Pressing the arrow keys while holding down the left mouse button will simultaneously move all of your selected hexanaut. Other players' can prevent top cards from being played until they first play them. If they do not, they cannot play their card until someone with a different card than theirs uses it to move all of their hexes.
