AstroDud.io, a multiplayer competition game with an astronaut theme, places a player in a random battle arena where they compete against friends, family or strangers. With standard play outside of custom parties that feature private matches, the player must survive for a certain amount of time or reach certain checkpoints to continue to qualify through to the next of many different competitions.
Some of the game's best features, including character customization and collection of coins, trophies and crowns, are only accessible if the player sets up an account. Otherwise, they play in randomly selected obstacle-course arenas. These areas feature many standard running-game obstacles, such as floating platforms, rotating paddles or wipers, rapidly moving doors, rolling balls and tiles that fall away into the open air.
If the player does well, they can rank on leaderboards. If they fail to keep their astronaut character alive, they're bounced back to the beginning of the arena or last checkpoint. The game features free and paid battle passes. It also offers several social tools.
How to play:
Allow the game to select a battle arena. Check the mission at the bottom center of the screen. Run the obstacle course to attempt to qualify for the next competition. Keep playing until disqualified. To enjoy locked areas, create an account.
Controls:
Keyboard: To move the character left or right, press Left Arrow or A and Right Arrow or D, respectively. To run forward or backward, press Up Arrow or W and Down Arrow or S. To push other players' characters, press E. To jump, press Spacebar. To restore the cursor and access the settings from within an arena, press Esc.
Mouse: Click buttons to use them. To change the camera perspective within an arena, roll the mouse in any direction.
Mobile: Tap buttons to use them. To chance the camera, slide a finger or stylus in any direction.
Note: If the game runs too slowly, the player can reduce the quality of the graphics in the settings.
