Glam Dress Up is a fun dress-up game that uses static paper doll models and backgrounds. The player receives six models with different hair colors, skin tones and ethnicities to choose from on the main screen. They can dress up the models however they see fit using the offered hairstyles, fashions and accessories. Unlike similar games, they can't choose custom makeup or clothing colors.
After the player selects a model, the game poses the doll in her underclothes with her hair pulled back in front of one of several available backdrops. It also presents all items, including backgrounds, in categories on the left side of the screen. When the player selects a category, the available items appear in a vertical column on the right side of the screen. The player can select a hairstyle, headwear, a dress or a top and skirt, a sweater or wrap, gloves and high heels. They can also select an item for the model to hold, such as a bouquet or clutch. The game offers a selection of jewelry as well. Backdrops include the patio of a Hollywood home, the model's bedroom, a daytime patio with white railing near a lake, and a red carpet event.
Glam Dress Up isn't an entirely free game. If the player wants to access certain items, they must watch advertisements. Once they've completed their selections, they can save a snapshot of the final image by using a camera button that automatically downloads it to their laptop, tablet or other device. They can then start over with the same model or a different one by using the button marked with a curved back arrow.
