Nickelodeon Bubble Guppies: Good Hair Day is a children's dress-up game that teaches a player about different hairstyles and the work of salon specialists. The player is told that the worst villain the heroic, underwater Bubble Guppies have ever faced, the Hair Ball, has been terrorizing Scissor City by zapping people's hair. He then does the same to the Bubble Guppies, which results in their hair turning green and zigzagged like seaweed. The player must help the Bubble Guppies make "super hair-o" creations at the salon to combat Hair Ball's evil plan.
At the salon, the player can restore each character's original hairstyle, color and accessories. They merely select the hero to place in the salon chair and prompt the stylist to use shampoo. That said, they can also select new hairstyles, colors and accessories for the heroes from three palettes on the left side of the screen. After they make these super hair-o creations, they can prompt the game to take a special photograph of the Bubbles Guppies' new styles.
Bubble Guppies: Good Hair Day isn't merely a dress-up game. An arcade element also exists. Hair Ball shows up at the salon now and then to attempt to ruin their hair again. The player must stop him before he can undo their work.
