Endless Bubbles is a point-and-click bubble-shooting game with an alien invasion theme that offers infinite play. It doesn't require the player to beat a clock or complete tasks. Instead, they attempt to acquire the highest possible points until they decide to stop playing or the bubbles on the screen reach the bottom of the playfield. They then attempt to beat their last-best score during a new round.
The game also doesn't feature a traditional bow, cannon or ring shooter with one or two projectiles. The projectile bubble rests at the center bottom of the playfield, with three additional ones in plain view below it. This arrangement gives the player the opportunity to prepare for the next three shots. The player earns points by shooting a projectile at two or more matching linked bubbles hanging in rows.
Endless Bubbles features energy play. A number below a golden lightning bolt to the left of the projectiles decreases whenever the player doesn't make a match. That said, if they run out of energy, they don't need to worry about the game ending. The bubbles move down the screen by one row, and the game resets the energy automatically.
Although the game makes a futuristic firing sound when the player shoots, it also features pleasant background music. Additionally, the surfaces of the vibrant, colorful bubbles give slightly when impacted by a projectile, which makes play relaxing.
