Amazing Car Wash is a business simulation game that tasks a player with washing various types of motor vehicles. The game teaches the player semi-realistic methods for washing cars and other vehicles using a variety of tools.
The player starts by directing a yellow Volkswagen Beetle to the car wash. They learn the basics of how certain pieces of equipment and tools work, such as a leaf blower, plant shears, a hose and a power washer. They also learn how to use maintenance tools, such as tire and gas pumps.
When the player correctly uses a tool, it disappears from the cleanup area. They receive up to five stars under the tool's icon along the bottom of the screen. A white-gloved hand then directs them to select the next tool.
Amazing Car Wash even teaches young players and people who have never driven a motor vehicle before the basics of using a speedometer and gas pedal. When the player completes all tasks, they receive stars as a reward.
The player then receives the opportunity to clean other vehicles using new tools. For example, they can use their stars to wash and perform maintenance on a police cruiser, a farm tractor, a fire truck, a jeep, a van, a heavy construction digger, a sports car, a dump truck, an ice cream truck, a tank, a limo, an ambulance, an airplane and even a flying saucer!
