Teen Galaxycore is a dress-up game in which the player helps a teenage girl find the right look for an event. The girl loves galaxycore, or spacecore, styles that emphasize nighttime colors and patterns that reflect stars and other celestial bodies. Yet she can't make up her mind about what to wear for the occasion.
Since this is a Y8 game, the player can save everything online by setting up a Y8 account or locally on their computer or other device. Once they select one of these options, they're presented with the girl's bedroom. In it, she has side-by-side closets, an upright four-shade tanning booth, and a lot of shelves with items. Clothing and accessory items include tops and skirts, eye colors, wigs in different hair styles and colors, headwear, jewelry, purses and footwear. The player can manually select items for the girl or use a die labeled with question marks to randomly select a style.
When the player finishes, Teen Galaxycore places the girl on an outside patio with a white railing at night. Although the scene looks like a photoshoot or selfie locale, the game doesn't offer a camera. That said, it does provide selfie props and photo decorative tools, including emoji and text stickers, and an option to add a white bench with a bird, a telescope, a scooter or party balloons to the scene.
Any player who has an account can save their work and share it with other account users. A player without an account must take a screenshot or use their device's snip tool.
