Sugar, Sugar 3 is the third installment in the popular Sugar, Sugar series. It offers a player another 30 opportunities to prove their knowledge of gravity and physics and show off their common sense by directing tiny pixelated sugar grains that pour down the screen from the comma in the title into empty mugs. Each mug features a number that decreases as it fills with sugar.
The player uses their drawing skills to win each level. They draw one or more lines to create chutes and funnels that direct the flowing sugar into the cups. Sometimes, they send the sugar to a hole or down to the bottom of the screen to teleport the sugar to a mug near the top of the screen.
Sugar, Sugar 3 doesn't stick with the laws of physics. The player might need to draw a bowl shape under an upside-down mug to collect sugar and then use a tool straight out of science fiction, displayed only as an onscreen button, to levitate the sugar grains into it. They also need to sometimes direct the flow of white table sugar through color-generation fields to recolor the grains to match the color of a specific mug.
It's important to note that the sugar sprinkling from the tail of the comma isn't unlimited, which means that the player must do everything possible to reduce errors that waste sugar grains.
