Sugar, Sugar 2 is a strategic physics-based game with a drawing requirement. Across 30 levels, tiny grains of white sugar slowly sprinkle down the screen from the game title's comma. The player must draw a line or lines to direct the flow of the sugar into two or more mugs positioned in different areas on or near one or more teaspoons. They win a level as soon as they fill all the mugs with enough sugar.
The mugs are marked with blue numbers. When the sugar grains drop into one, the number on the front automatically counts down. The player can draw as many lines as they need to direct the grains without the game forcing them to pay anything or watch advertisements. Additionally, the game doesn't have a timer. As a result, the player can take their time to decide on the best strategy to use and draw each line carefully. They need a solid understanding of gravity and physics, along with excellent hand-eye coordination.
Sugar, Sugar 2 presents the player with many challenges and obstacles. They might need to direct the sugar through a filter that changes the color of the sugar from white to another color that matches the color of a specific mug. They might also need to direct the sugar into a hole to teleport it to a different area. In some levels, the player can push a button to make the sugar float up into upside-down mugs.
If the player wins every level, they receive unlimited access in a freeplay mode.
