Stealing the Diamond is a choose-your-own-adventure and deception stickman game that features three unique endings. The city's mayor has decided to display a large diamond at the local museum. The player helps a stickman thief attempt to steal the diamond without the nighttime security guards catching him. Yet, the game attempts to deceive the player with a variety of choices per scenario.
The game makes it seem like every decision is an easy one, but only one or two choices out of multiple options in each new scene can actually help the player reach a goal. When they start the game, the player needs to decide whether to bust or sneak into the building.
Each option offers multiple choices that the player can make to help the thief. For example, if they choose the Bust In option, they use a scooter, and the game gives them three separate actions they might perform while on the scooter. If they choose the Sneak In option, the game gives them six tools designed to help them enter the building. If the player selects the wrong tool, they must restart the scene.
Stealing the Diamond forces the player to think before they act. For example, they might think at first that an invisibility pill is the best tool for the character to use to sneak past the guards. Yet, the player can't see the stickman to direct him if he's invisible.
The game awards medals for the player's achievements. They might receive one for reaching each of the game's three endings, failing a specific number of times, or completing miscellaneous and mystery actions.
