Princess Rivalry is a dress-up game that features Disneyesque princesses fighting over a prince. Although the girls are close friends, they both believe that a specific guy wants only one of them. The player must dress up each girl to look her best to attract this boy.
The player dresses up each princess using a wide range of items. They can alter her hair length, style and color. They can add a flower crown, chain or other accessory to her hair. They can select either a top-and-bottom outfit combination or a dress or gown. They finally finish the look with additional accessories, such as a choker or necklace. The game doesn't offer custom makeup or footwear options.
Princess Rivalry doesn't hold back when it's time for the prince to pick one of the princesses. The girl who looks most like a Disney princess receives his attention and affection. The one who loses the bet receives notice from a less-than-nice guy with a fake blonde wig and a black goatee.
Depending on the winner, the princess might accept the other guy as long as he removes the wig. That said, one of the princesses doesn't take kindly to losing the bet and demands that the player start over. If the player decides to try again, they can't simply change one or two pieces. They must completely start over and go through the entire process of selecting hair, clothing and accessories.
