Ellie: Get Ready With Me 2 is the next installment of the popular Ellie series of dress-up games. Ellie, a vlogger and an influencer, needs help preparing for her day. The player performs various tasks with Ellie's guidance across six levels.
The player helps Ellie clean up after a good night's rest. They shampoo, condition, rinse, dry and straighten Ellie's hair. They treat acne, apply and remove a fruity face mask, tweeze her eyebrows, cover undereye circles and apply lipstick.
After the player freshens Ellie's face, they apply various types of makeup, including lipstick, eyebrow pencil, eyeshadow and blush. They receive six color options per tool to customize Ellie's look. They then receive tools to color and style Ellie's hair using six foundation styles and colors. They can customize these styles by applying one or more of 12 available hair dye colors to Ellie's locks.
The player can also update Ellie's fingernails with solid, sparkle and marble nail polish in various colors. Additionally, the game offers decorative accents, such as rhinestones and stickers.
In the last level of Ellie: Get Ready With Me 2, the player selects clothing and accessories for Ellie, such as a top, skirt or pants, a dress, shoes and jewelry. Unlike similar games, it doesn't show Ellie wearing her new outfit out in the world. The only way the player can save the look for sharing or future inspiration is by using a screenshot or snip tool on the dress-up screen.
