Number Line Match is an endless connect game. As indicated by a cute calculator robot that serves as a guide, the player's goal is to remove numbers from an 8x10 board by connecting the numbers along vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines for as long as possible. They can only connect identical ones or numbers that add together to equal 10.
The game makes this task challenging by adding an extra horizontal line of eight numbers every time the player runs out of moves. That said, if the player removes eight numbers from a row, the game removes the empty line.
The player must start over if the numbers reach the topmost or tenth row. If they can prevent this outcome, the game continues until they run out of moves or a new line of numbers along the bottom of the board bumps the ninth row of numbers into the empty tenth row.
Number Line Match provides a rocket booster that erases an entire row of numbers and a hammer booster that removes a single number. The player must watch videos to use these tools. The game also helps the player in two additional ways. When the player hovers their cursor above numbers, it highlights potential horizontal, vertical and diagonal connection points. It also makes potential matches pulsate in place.
When the player does well, they win coins that they can use to unlock new backgrounds. They need 100 coins for each one.
