Namby-Pamby: Explode the Bubbles is a bomb-style bubble-shooting game. The word "namby-pamby" refers to indecisiveness and weakness. The player must come up with a strong strategy for clearing a dark, blue-gray surface of gray square stones and mixed-colored bubbles that roll like balls to beat other online players in competitive gameplay. Their goal is to earn high enough points to climb to the top of weekly, monthly and total global leaderboards that display the stats of the top 25 players in each category.�
The player explodes bubble balls by using a tunnel shooter that rolls projectile bubbles at the playfield when the player interacts with the screen. They must direct each projectile to hit two or more of the bubbles that feature the projectile's color. They can use their cursor to pick a spot or use a faded gray, dotted targeting line.
When the player succeeds, they create a cluster of three bubble balls that explode like bombs with a puff of smoke. This action also destroys any stones nearby or attached non-matching bubbles. The player can also use rainbow swirl boosters to target non-matching bubbles.
Namby-Pamby: Explode the Bubbles gives the player coins for winnings that they can use to buy new types of bubbles. They can also acquire 100 free coins per day in the Receive Coins area and by reaching goals, such as exploding a specific number of total bubbles and winning a specific number of times. Some bubbles contain collectible cards that the player stores in a Collection zone.
Bubble balls roll off each other as well. As a result, they can roll along a curved trajectory into the wrong positions.
