Merge World is a crafting and world-building merge game set in a fantasy realm of fairies and other mythical creatures. The player's goal is to use available objects to create raw materials that they can then merge to create items needed to build and erect structures and perform other tasks.
The player must construct almost every aspect of a structure from scratch. For example, they might select a tree to gather planks to create sets of planks and then merge the planks to construct the wood frame of a structure. To erect the building, they must then merge three wood frames.
The game requires them to merge three or more of these sets at a time to complete the process. The player can learn the evolution of each raw material by using an icon shaped like a ring flip-style notebook on the right side of the screen.�
Merge World rewards the player with blue stars and golden coins. They use the blue stars to help them progress through their tasks. They use the coins to buy raw materials and items made from materials when they don't have enough room on the landscape or source objects.
When the player does well with crafting and merging, the game levels up and removes clouds from part of the landscape. This event gives them more room to perform merges. It might also reveal a key and a treasure chest filled with items.
