Maze is a labyrinth game in which the player attempts to find a clear path around the twists and turns of passageways between a green ball and a green ring. The game features 200 standard puzzles, 200 spotlight puzzles and one timed puzzle.
With the standard puzzles, the player must direct the ball along a path. They don't need to direct it around every corner. Instead, they wait for green arrows to appear and merely pick a direction. The ball then rolls along the path, leaving a green line behind it, until the next intersection of passageways. With spotlight puzzles, the game briefly shows the player the entirety of the maze and then hides everything except a small circular area similar to the focus of a spotlight. Lastly, with timed play, the player must merely try to solve an extremely large maze with many small, narrow passageways as quickly as possible.
Maze doesn't punish the player for reversing the ball's roll. Additionally, the labyrinths become more complex as the player progresses through the game.
