Jungle Connect is a connect-style tile-matching game that features jungle imagery. The background displays a water source with trees, vines and rocks. The game uses stone as the main tile material instead of ivory. The symbols on the tiles include tropical animals and plants, valuable metals and gemstones, and wooden tribal face masks marked with classic Chinese number characters.
As with other connect games, the main goal is to remove pairs of tiles with at least one unattached edge by using no more than two 90-degree angles made of no more than three lines. The number of tiles increases with each new level.
The complexity of the tile arrangements also increases, making it harder for the player to clear the playfield of tiles before a vertical, two-tone, swirly green timer bar runs out of color on the left side of the screen. For example, the entire field of tiles might suddenly move left, right, up or down after the player removes a pair.
That said, Jungle Connect provides the player with several helpful tools. They can use a mask marked with a question mark to reveal a pair of tiles with flashing pink and white cross lines. A mask marked with two arrows reshuffles the tiles into new positions to make finding pairs easier.
The player receives points for every match. They receive a higher score if they quickly complete consecutive matches (chain bonus). They also receive a higher score for completing a level rapidly (time bonus).
