Ghost Bubbles is a timed bubble-popping game. With a scroll map guiding them on an adventure along a winding path in a new land, the player uses a wooden cannon shooter and bubble projectiles to pop bubbles in 42 locations haunted by ghosts before they run out of time. They also attempt to rank on leaderboards by earning the highest possible score.
Each level features several rounds in the same location. For example, a level might feature three rounds in a forest or an apple orchard. The player must pop all the bubbles hanging on the screen during a round to make one or more ghosts fade away and leave the spot.
The player can swap primary and secondary bubble projectiles at any time to make each shot. They can also perform angled shots by bouncing projectiles off the far left side of the screen or the right vertical sidebar. They must pop three or more color-matched bubbles to form a poppable group. The game doesn't always allow the player to perform avalanche maneuvers in which they make non-matching bubbles attached to a group pop and disappear.�
Ghost Bubbles provides the current level number, score, timer and round number on the sidebar. The player can also turn off the sound and music or pause their play. The game also pauses play automatically if they switch browser tabs.
