Fish Eat Getting Big is a multiplayer, battle arena, survival IO game that takes place in aquatic settings. Up to three players play as tiny fish that become bigger over time.
A player's primary goal is to direct their fish to swim through an underwater world and eat fish of equal or lesser size to gain power, grow larger and eat bigger fish. They win the game if they reach 10,000 power points. The fish swimming through an area become more exotic and powerful as the player's fish grows in size and points.
The secondary goal of the player or players is to earn enough money to upgrade their fish to a different type and change the background. They need thousands of coins to select these options. They earn coins based on their power and size whenever they're killed by a larger living fish, a mine or an undead fish. These threats appear randomly. Undead fish can also chase a player's fish.
Fish Eat Getting Big makes a player start over with the lowest possible power points when their fish dies. That said, it's fairly easy for a player to regain their points by simply directing their fish to swim through the shoaling or grouping fish around them.
