Bubble Shooter: Fun is a bubble-popping game. Across 26 maps designed with stunning images of space, the player visits 600 levels to collect stars trapped inside hanging mixed-bubble patterns. They win a level when they collect all the stars by using bubble projectiles to pop clusters of three or more bubbles. The game automatically bursts any remaining pattern and projectile bubbles, and the player collects points, coins, diamonds and level-achievement stars.
Each level slowly loads a pattern to show the player the locations of the stars in the sections that become hidden above the playfield. The player receives a white ring shooter with two projectiles and a color-matched, dotted targeting line. They can swap the projectiles and prompt the game to display the targeting line to improve the outcome of each shot. When they shoot accurately, any bubbles underneath a popping cluster drop into churning portals and generate bonus points.
Bubble Shooter: Fun makes different colors and sizes of stars float up out of the portals when the player completes a specific number of consecutive shots. These stars make shooting more difficult because the player can't see targets as easily. That said, the game gives them many powerful aids via rewards and in-game currency access.
For example, the player can use flames to generate a fireball or a leaf to generate a bubble-popping vine. They can combine these weapons to create even more powerful ones. They receive traditional boosters like bombs, rockets and rainbow bubbles. They also activate tools that allow them to access additional projectiles or add a third projectile to the ring.
