Blasting Marbles is a strategic maze game. It features anthropomorphic marbles that the player directs through underground labyrinthine tunnels across 50 levels of play.
The player uses a blasting mechanism to make dark gray and colored marbles roll, bounce or float in specific directions and into boxes that contain more marbles that they must free from captivity. They must direct all marbles toward a black hole at the end of the tunnel maze.
The marbles feature unique capabilities. For example, although the player can't direct marbles to move through the tunnels without using the blasts, any time a dark gray marble impacts an orange explosive box, that specific type of blast can destroy the marble. Red marbles roll into and destroy blasting boxes without this problem. Blue marbles float or roll upward.
Blasting Marbles places a wide range of obstacles in the player's way, including ledges and outcroppings along the edges of some tunnels, block and paddle-style rotating walls, and even energy whirlpools. The player uses a variety of methods to overcome these obstacles. For example, they might switch the primary marble, use a blast to destroy a block wall, or roll a marble into a lever to switch the lever handle's direction. If they switch the marble that displays eyes, they also change the camera perspective.
