99 Balls 3D is an endless brick breaker that features short, three-dimensional cylindrical shapes instead of classic square and rectangle bricks. The cylinders have softer sides and act like bumpers on a pinball machine. The player's goal is to break as many bricks as possible and collect stars.
The game slides the round bricks down from the top of a gradient blue-purple table. Each shape displays a white number. The player must hit a shape with one ball repeatedly or with multiple balls to decrease the number until the brick breaks. They also release additional balls and collect stars. The game records the number of collected stars near the upper-left corner.
The player can track their current ball count below a single ball that rests at the center of a line near the bottom of the table. Any time they shoot, they release all the balls collected up to that point. They receive a dotted, white targeting line and a secondary trajectory line to help them shoot with the highest degree of accuracy.�
If the player loses or pauses 99 Balls 3D, they must start over. That said, they keep their stars. They can use their collected stars to unlock new types of balls, including soccer and tennis balls, cut gemstones and whole, round fruit.
