X2 Solitaire Merge is a 2048 match-and-merge game that features colorful cards instead of classic tiles or blocks. Each card displays a number. The player's goal is to match identical cards to merge them to create new, higher-numbered cards. They continue this process until they reach 2048 and then beyond to the highest possible outcome.
If the player can't find two cards to merge, they can strategically reposition cards from one of the four available columns to eventually create higher numbers. For example, they might place an 8 card beneath a 16 card because eventually the game should present another 8 card that they can merge to create a 16 card. Once they have a new 16 card, the game automatically merges it with the card above it to create a 32 card.�
The player can also transfer any card to a free space that opens up in a way similar to Klondike Solitaire. If they have difficulty matching cards, the game displays a free hint. The game also supplies boosters that help them remove cards faster.
X2 Solitaire Merge rewards combination points for multiple matches with one move. At the end of a level, it also rewards the player with coins. The player can receive multipliers and additional coins if they reach certain milestones or watch advertisements. If they allow cards to drop below the dashed line at the bottom of the playfield, they lose.
