Tap Wood Block Away 3D, also known as Wood Block Tap Away and Tap 3D Wood Block Away, is a wood-block puzzle game that tasks the player with removing wooden blocks from a stack floating against a background. The player uses arrows on the blocks to guide their actions.
The game features long and short blocks. The player must rotate the stack to determine the best steps to take to remove the pieces. That said, they can't remove blocks with inward-pointing arrows. They also can't usually remove middle blocks between other blocks.
The player must remove exterior blocks with arrows pointing away from the center first. The game supplies a tool marked with two arrows that allows them to switch the direction of an arrow on a single block. After so many uses, the player must watch a video to continue to use it.
Tap Wood Block Away 3D also features a home makeover element. Every time the player removes the entire stack of blocks from a level successfully, they receive cash that allows them to update the colors of items in a room in a black-and-white or grayscale picture. They can earn a large amount of cash by trying their luck with a horizontal bar multiplier.
Once they have enough money, they select an area of the room to colorize and then select a color from multiple options. After they colorize the entire room, they receive access to a picture of another room.
