Unload the Fridge, a match-3 puzzle game, offers a player a unique twist on traditional tile-based gameplay. A room in a home needs a partial renovation. The only way for the player to earn enough cash to complete it is to help out by emptying the refrigerator.
The player must initially remove three matching items at a time from the fridge, such as juices, sodas, coffees, hamburgers, hot dogs, hams, cheese wedges, noodles, boxes of macaroni and cheese, buckets of popcorn, cinnamon rolls, croissants, pies, jars of peanut butter, chocolate-coated biscuit sticks, whole red lobsters, whole chickens, turkey legs, chili peppers, red peppers, peaches, pumpkins and eggplants, as quickly as possible before time runs out. The game eventually gives them the opportunity to earn money by removing items from other areas, such as beauty supplies from a tall shelf unit.
The player earns the cash every time they complete an accurate match. The game then prompts them to use their cash to buy items and tools to renovate the room.
Unload the Fridge provides the player with a hint button that actually removes three matching items without the player selecting them. The game also features an undo option. That said, the player receives a limited number of turns with this assistance and must watch advertisements to earn more.
If the player wants to end gameplay without emptying the fridge, they lose a life.
