Solitaire Match is a single-player or solitaire card game with a construction and territory expansion theme. On each level or stage, the player matches white cards labeled with black numbers on a two-tone green diamond-patterned playfield. They follow specific rules to complete tasks and earn enough coins to develop a village for anthropomorphic animals in the wilderness.
The player receives six empty spaces below the center of the field. They must match face-up single-layer or face-up and face-down multi-layer cards from the center of the field in these spaces without running out of room to perform matches. They select cards with numbers that add up to 10 or display specific sequences (1, 2, 3, 4 or Straight and Five of a Kind). When they perform this task correctly, they receive coins. They must earn a specific number of coins, as noted at the top center of the field. That said, they can earn more than the goal as well.
If the player fulfills these requirements continuously, they receive extra coins with their winnings at the end of a level. If they watch an ad video, they receive additional coins. They also receive extra coins when they play timed boss and bonus levels, complete milestones and open free gifts. Lastly, they earn coins in a semi-idle fashion from passive revenue generation and manual coin collection after they build up their village.
The player makes matches more easily by using coins to pay for access to special tools that include a shuffle button that rearranges the cards and a hammer button that removes an unneeded card from the slots. They also pay to construct buildings and expand the village to attract new residents and visitors and profits.
