Save the Capybara is a rescue, skill-based drawing, logic-puzzle game similar to Save Superhero Dog, Save My Pets and Save the Doge. Across 100 levels, the player's primary goal is to protect an adorable capybara from stinging and deadly bees by drawing a barrier around it to shield it from harm. Their secondary goal is to earn three gold stars per level to collect 300 stars in total.
The player must draw the barrier correctly on the first try as quickly as possible because a star collection progress bar acts like a timer and rapidly loses color. If the player takes too long, they might lose at least one of the three stars. Additionally, their barrier must last five seconds during an attack.
On some levels, the player must protect multiple capybaras and deal with deadly obstacles, such as stone spikes and boiling pools of acid. They can draw a barrier around the capybaras or around the beehives. They can also use landscape features as part of their shield strategy. That said, the bees can also swarm and push a barrier out of the way or fly through any type of gap in a barrier's continuous line.
Save the Capybara provides the player with a hint button marked with a light bulb at the upper-left corner that shows how to draw a barrier. It also gives the player unlimited free reloads with a button at the upper-right corner. They can even skip a level by watching ad videos.
The player can earn purple diamonds by watching ads. When they save at least 300 diamonds, they can upgrade the appearance of the capybaras.
