Roller Ball 6, also known as Bounce Ball 6, is another side-scrolling platform adventure in the unofficial continuation of the Red Ball series. The player helps a red ball with white facial markings and other fun characters explore pastoral and industrial landscapes and conquer a wide variety of non-deadly obstacles, life-threatening traps and enemies. Along the way, they use coins and boosters to help them make progress through dozens of levels.
Over time, as the player collects floating coins, wins free money and watches advertisements, they can upgrade the skin of the ball to other versions, such as a ball with a golden mask, ball-shaped anthropomorphic pieces of produce and the heads of animals, superheroes and Among Us crewmates. Much of the game requires the player to watch advertisements to unlock random skins, claim lucky spin wheel prizes, and perform various tasks.
Although gameplay is fairly standard for this genre, Roller Ball 6 features many fun and helpful tools and obstacles, traps and enemies. For example, the player can direct the ball to push boulders and crates to create tiers to higher levels and press down giant buttons that control wooden bridges. They can direct the ball to bounce on the heads of non-spherical enemies and big bosses and move rapidly around or above many threats, such as rotating circular saw blades, rock shooters and spears that rise up out of wooden crates.
