FoxyLand 2 is a continuation of the story from the popular FoxyLand side-scrolling platformer. Foxy, Jennie and their children, Cindy and Tim, have settled down in a home in the forest. Cherries have become a rarity on the island where Foxy and his family live. While Foxy's away from home searching for more cherries, the Wolfie Brothers, Duke and Jax, kidnap his kids and destroy the homestead.
One or two players must help Foxy and Jennie collect cherries and coins, handle deadly obstacles and traps, combat enemies and rescue the kids. They use cherries as weapons to break crates and defeat enemies. That said, they must take care as they journey through dense, green forests, mushroom-filled valleys and boiling deserts across more than 40 unique levels. The island is filled with a lot of obstacles and traps, including deep pits, spiked roots, hot lava and animal enemies.
The game offers fun side quests and interesting gameplay. The player collects Foxy coins and small coins. If Foxy (and Jennie) dies and the level ends, the player loses these coins and must start over at the beginning of the level or a checkpoint. If they collect 25 of the small coins, they receive an additional life. Unlike similar games, the multiplayer option doesn't reset the game if the second player joins or leaves at any point. It simply removes Jennie from the game.
